Mercedes-Benz 630
Of this model 630, only the engine and chassis are by Mercedes-Benz. These were shipped to France in 1928. The recipient, a Monsieur Fagan of Paris, ordered the Paris coach builder Saoutchik to finish the car with an extravagant body. The bodywork known as "Sedanca de Ville" is a transformable limousine broom with glass windows built into a soft top. Instead of a Mercedes grill is a proud French cockerel made of glass by Lalique. The headlights, also a special design, were made by Marchal, a renowned producer of electrical automobile equipment. This magnificent restored vehicle at the Auto & Technik MUSEUM SINSHEIM with its striking paintwork still fascinates every oldtimer fan up to this day. It is in absolute running order and is regulary used.
