Coventry Transport Museum and the British Motor Museum are delighted that the UK has been chosen for the 2018 World Forum for Motor Museums. They are working on the exact programme and dates but what we can tell you is that the UK forum will be held in September 2018 between the Beaulieu Autojumble and the Goodwood Revival so you will have plenty of reasons to extend your stay beyond the forum dates. World Forum for Motor Museums 2016

After the World Forum in Paris, Detroit, Modena, and Los Angeles, delegates from technical museums from around the world met at the Technik Museum Sinsheim in 2016. Numerous lectures had been held in Sinsheim especially aimed at managers, exhibition curators, and marketing employees of transport and automobile museums. Trips had been also in the programme: The Technik Museum Sinsheim is situated in a region of Germany that is closely linked to the history of the automobile. Mannheim, the birthplace of the automobile, as well as Stuttgart, known worldwide for its car brands Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, are just a few kilometres from Sinsheim away. Day trips to historical automotive sites and visiting other automobile museums had been part of the programme.
