Mercedes-Benz SS "Black Prince"
This Mercedes Super-Sportcar at the Technik Museum Sinsheim was built in 1928. Originally, it was an S-model which was destined for Czechoslovakia. In 1934 the car was completely modernized, wich was done quite frequently at that time. Besides the more pówerful supercharged 7 liter six-cylinder-motor with an output between 170 and 225 PS, it was additionally equipped with an exciting roadster-sportbody designed by Ulec, the most renowned coach builder of Prague. The particularly striking features of this special bodywork are the long fenders and especially the stretched engine hood which probably remains unsurpassed by any other Mercedes up to these days. Even today the car can still reach a speed of about 200 km/h.
