But six cars were built of this early Ferrari model, three as convertibles and three as coupès. The specimen on exhibit in the Museum has the chassis number 240 AL. The "America", the very first roadworthy model built by Ferrari, started the cooperation of the automobile factory in Maranello with the renowned Italian body designer Pinin Farina.
