Mercedes-Benz 630
Of this model 630, only the engine and chassis are by Mercedes-Benz. These were shipped to France in 1928. The recipient, a Monsieur Fagan of Paris, ordered the Paris coach builder Saoutchik to finish the car with an extravagant body. The bodywork known as "Sedanca de Ville" is a transformable limousine broom with glass windows built into a soft top. Instead of a Mercedes grill is a proud French cockerel made of glass by Lalique. The headlights, also a special design, were made by Marchal, a renowned producer of electrical automobile equipment. This magnificent restored vehicle at the Technik Museum Sinsheim with its striking paintwork still fascinates every oldtimer fan up to this day. It is in absolute running order and is regulary used.
